UNIFIL: Israeli army attack on our site is a flagrant violation of international law

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army deliberately demolished one of their observation towers and a perimeter fence in in Marwahin town, stressing that this is a flagrant violation of international law.
UNIFIL said in a statement on Sunday  ““Earlier on Sunday , an Israeli army bulldozer deliberately demolished an observation tower and perimeter fence of a UN position in Marwahin”
“We once again remind the Israeli army and all actors of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property and to respect the sanctity of UN premises at all times.” the statement added
UNIFIL “We reiterate that the violation of a UN site and the damage to UN assets is a flagrant violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and also endangers the safety and security of our peacekeepers in violation of international humanitarian law.”
Last Friday, the UNIFIL spokesman confirmed that the occupation forces had targeted UN forces operating in southern Lebanon several times, noting that five of these attacks were deliberate.
