Unidentified gunmen shot dead one of “Al-Bakir” clan’s notables in Deir Ezzor countryside

One of the notables of “Al-Bakir” clan in Syria’s Deir Ezzor was martyred on Thursday after unidentified persons opened fire at him in an area controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia.

Local sources told SANA that Hussein Sheikh Al-Jamil, one of the dignitaries of Al-Bakir clan, was shot dead in Al-Izbeh area in Deir Ezzor northern countryside.

The new attack comes several days after the martyrdom of Sheikh Atliosh Al- Shaitat, one of the notables of the Al-Akidat tribe, and his son in the village of Hawayj Thiban by the gunfire of unidentified persons.

The SDF militia, with full American-Zionist support, has killed a number of national figures and tribal leaders, including Sheikh Matashar Al-Hafl, who was assassinated by SDF militants in cold blood last September.
