UNICEF: Gaza’s children -missing out on  Vaccines

New York-(ST) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has warned that children in the Gaza Strip, who have been subjected to a devastating Israeli aggression since last October 7, are at risk of losing vaccines and increasing disease.

UNICEF explained in a statement that “more than 16,000 children in the Gaza Strip are at risk of missing their necessary vaccinations,” warning that “these children are at risk to serious diseases such as pneumonia and polio

The Palestinian Ministry of Health recently warned of the exhaustion of its stock of children’s vaccines and the catastrophic health repercussions on children’s health and the spread of diseases, especially among the displaced in overcrowded shelter centers. It called on international organizations to quickly intervene to provide the necessary vaccinations and ensure their access to all areas of the Gaza Strip

Since October 7, the Israeli occupation forces have launched a brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip, killing 26,637 people and wounding 65,387 others, most of them women and children
