The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Jordan denied rumors of suspending its health services provided to Syrian refugees registered with it in Jordan.
The commission said, according to the Jordanian newspaper “Al-Ra’ai” that the UNHCR continues to provide health care services to refugees, and that rumors of stopping these services are incorrect.
“The services of the Jordanian Ministry of Health continue through primary health care centers and hospitals, where Syrian refugees must present an asylum application document, or the service card for the Syrian community “security ID” to obtain these services.” It added.
The Commission indicated that in the event of difficulties in accessing health services, refugees can contact its helpline to report the names of health centers or hospitals through which they could not obtain the service.
The UNHCR confirmed that primary and secondary health care services and some of the services provided are available to all refugees registered with it and of different nationalities.
