UNESCO adopts two resolutions confirming the invalidity of the occupation measures in Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem  (ST): The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has adopted two resolutions on Palestine that affirm the invalidity of the measures taken by the Israeli occupation in occupied Jerusalem and the need to cancel them immediately.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement reported by Wafa news agency  that the Executive Council of UNESCO adopted, in its 211th session today, unanimously the two resolutions relating to Palestine, namely occupied Palestine, and cultural and educational institutions.

The Foreign Ministry stated that the two decisions affirm in their clauses the status of the occupied city of Jerusalem and the invalidity of the measures taken by the occupation in the Holy City and the necessity to immediately cancel them, and its demand as well as to stop its continuous settlement violations.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem. Ma’an News Agency reported that for the third day in a row, the occupation forces attacked the worshipers with beatings and poison gas canisters after the end of the Tarawih prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and drove the worshipers out of its yards, which resulted in the injury of many of them and the arrest of others.
