Under the patronage of President Al-Assad, graduation of the 38th Command and Staff Course at the Higher Military Academy celebrated

Under the patronage of President, Lieutenant General Bashar Al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, the graduation of the thirty-eighth session of Command and Staff was celebrated today at the Higher Military Academy.

General Ali Mahmoud Abbas, Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defense, represented the President in the celebration.
Following the honor guard parade, the celebration began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the honorable martyrs, then the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic was played.

General Abbas delivered a speech in which he conveyed the congratulations of Presiden Al-Assad to the graduating officers and his wishes for success in carrying out their sacred tasks that await them alongside their heroic comrades in the army and the armed forces, stressing that “our military institution is a role model for discipline and cohesion and an ideal school for sacrifice, redemption and national belonging”.

He stressed the importance of the Command and Staff Course, which aims to enrich the officers’ knowledge and experience and raise their intellectual and scientific level, enabling them to move forward with confident steps to achieve more victories in the face of any enemy, at any time or place.

The Minister of Defense stressed that “our country today is subjected to a misleading media attack and a continuous escalation launched by the forces supporting terrorism, which continue to impose a siege on our people in an attempt to break their will to persevere and defend their land and dignity”. He stressed that we are confident of our victory because we are rightful owners, and because we have the will and determination behind our wise leadership headed by President, Lieutenant General Bashar Al-Assad.

The Director of the Higher Military Academy also delivered a speech in which he stressed that this course represented an important training and qualification station, pointing to the importance of embodying science and theoretical knowledge in a practical way that contributes to maintaining the high combat readiness of our armed forces.

After that, the order of success was read, and certificates were distributed to the first graduates. Then the first graduate presented the course shield to the General, the representative of the Commander-in-Chief, and the celebration concluded with the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic.
