Under the directives of President Lieutenant-General Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, and based on the combat training plans for this year,  one of our combat formations carried out, in cooperation with friendly Russian forces, an operational tactical project with live ammunition over a period of several days. Various types of ground and air forces participated in conditions similar to the conduct of real hostilities. The tactical project was conducted in the presence of Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defense General Ali Mahmoud Abbas, Commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria General Alexander Chaiko, , and a number of senior officers of the two friendly armies.

In conclusion, the General conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the project’s stages, praising the efforts of the participants and their complete success in carrying out the assigned tasks. He underlined the importance of continuing qualitative training that would enable our armed forces to carry out their national tasks and duties to the fullest at every time and place.

The General stressed that our valiant army is able to follow the march of achievements and liberate every inch of the Syrian land, which realizes victory over terrorism, and consolidates the elements of security, stability and prosperity under the wise and courageous leadership of President General Bashar al-Assad.
