Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad: Vice-President Dr. Najah al-Attar opened “Palestine yesterday, today and tomorrow” Exhibition

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad, vice President Dr. Najah al-Attar opened yesterday evening “ Palestine yesterday, today and tomorrow exhibition at Dar al-Assad for culture and Arts in Damascus.

The exhibition included a range of different photographs for Jerusalem speaking about the nobility of its glorious history, including Bab al-Fawanmeh minaret  to the north of Haram al-Sharif, the museum which was looted by the Zionists, al-Rahma door and the Rock of the Dome, some hospitals and the southern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque and maps showing the actual boundaries of Palestine as well as for other Palestinian cities namely Java, Haifa and Gaza and the excavations carried out by the Zionists under Al-Aqsa Mosque, certain industrial companies and photographs of innocent children beaten by the Israelis.

“I greet you on behalf of President Bashar al-Assad, who refused to surrender and compromise unjust solutions, who sees in our common struggle, a lesson for liberation and victory for the Palestinian cause against offenders,” Dr. Attar said at the Exhibition opening ceremony.

She stressed the need to be at the level of modernization, “keepers of our rights and principles, liberate our will, draw the features of our future and restore the glow of life to draw smart strategies of political, economic, regional and defense strategies, for the development, upgrading and building future Arab generations.

Dr. Attar regretted that “some Arab countries and their politicians talk about special relations with countries that oppress our people and infringe our homelands, violate our rights and support our enemy and accuse us of terrorism practiced by that enemy and refuse to understand the big difference between this terrorism that is practiced upon us and our struggle for liberation.”

She pointed out that what is happening in Gaza has never been a conflict between two parallel different parties but “rape and aggression from a party which has no affiliation nor history, against safe people, noting “we are the owners of the right to land, history, and heritage.”

She pointed out that Syria under the leadership of President al-Assad is always committed to our Arab national principles, noting that Syria “believes that the rightful will be victorious and that our struggle will continue until the fall of arrogant plots that usurp our land, kill our children and destroy our institutions in the name of religion.”

Then, Dr. Attar, together with the Assistant Regional Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Helal Al-Helal, Dr. Wael al-Halaqi in charge of forming the government and representatives of Palestinian factions, bodies and institutions inspected the paintings and listened to explanations about them from the organizer of the exhibition, plastic artist Ayman Daker.

In a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the exhibition Dr. al-Halaqi said that the exhibition serves as a historical document embodies the Palestinian issue and its tragedies since the early sixteenth century through the first Zionist Congress in 1897 until this day, pointing out that the exhibition reflects what the Palestinian people suffered in general, and in the Gaza Strip today by the barbaric atrocities of the Zionist entity and its crimes, which are incompatible with human values .

He stressed that the Palestinian issue will remain the central cause of the Arab-Israeli conflict throughout ages, adding that “the Palestinian resistance will continue to be the powerful lift that inspires Palestinian people strength to achieve independence and build their independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.”

Replying a question about the composition of the government, which he was commissioned to form Dr. Halaqi said that the government would be for reconstruction and development and the promising hopes for the Syrian people, pointing out that things are still in the process of consultation and sufficient studies have not yet been conducted to reach the desired results.
