Under President al-Assad Auspices: Attar opened Gallery “Syria Is Approaching New Dawn” Exhibition

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad opened, Vice President Dr. Najah al-Attar, yesterday opened a documentary exhibition under the title “Syria is Approaching new Dawn”, at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The exhibition included a series of documentary photographs speaking of the crimes and abuses committed by armed terrorist groups in Syria over the four years, targeting various walks of life and civilians, provided by the Syrian official and civil sides.

In a speech following the opening of the exhibition Dr. al- Attar conveyed greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to the attendees, adding that “If the aggressive terrorists had opened all fronts against us with fire, murder, destruction and looting, rape, kidnapping and ongoing assault on schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, universities and homes of innocent people and children, relying on the brutal rally and pillars of the great conspiracy of the US, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan and other Arab and European countries, Syria stands with all vigor in the face of this conspiracy, no matter how conspiracies are big. “

Dr. al- Attar indicated that the objective of this documentary is to show that we are all “witnesses to the size of the current crime and to bow before what is happening ” adding that it is the ” horrific massacres that we most awe the greater pain and humility, over brutality and bloodshed, but on the other hand, we bow before the sacrifices that we read in the heroism of our army “.

Dr. Attar denounced the acts of Arab rulers in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf and Jordan who extend their hands to  Israel and the US, pointing to call made by the late leader Hafez al-Assad since Taif conference to those misguided, a time when Palestine and Jerusalem did reach this point of collapse and degradation by saying, “The first Qiblah and Aqsa Mosque induce our Islam and our people in Palestine are calling upon us every day not forget the usurping of Palestine and that the US continues hostility against the Arab nation and to intensify aid to Israel. “

She also denounced that the Arab rulers are forgetting all the meanings of solidarity,brotherhood, historical and cultural links,relations of neighborliness,brotherhood and kinship and common struggle, culture and history, heritage which are enough to make cohesion as a matter of life between us, and as indispensable.

Dr. Attar criticized some Syrian and Arab intellectuals who were drifted behind the temptations of life and did not care about the devastation that wreaked the country and the infidels by terrorists, in the name of religion.

She called on the families of martyrs and displaced persons to be patient, urging “to flourish your blood in our blood, with your brothers-in-arms in the fight, in this war which exceeds and still flaming. We are for Syria and its leader, when Syria and its leader are carrying the wounds in the struggle and patience that began to put us on the outskirts close to the dawn of evident victory. “
