Unconstructive attitudes towards Syria must be reconsidered, says Lavrentiev

Moscow,(ST) – Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev called for reconsidering the unconstructive attitudes towards Syria.

Lavrentiev was quoted by the Russian TASS News Agency as saying in a statement that, “we call on the international community to reconsider the unconstructive attitudes towards Syria. He stressed that, this approach is completely wrong and has very serious consequences”.

Lavrentiev referred to the wide support provided by his country to Syria in various fields, saying that this support manifested itself  during the discussion of this issue in the previous meeting on the displaced in Syria where a large number of Russian ministries and bodies are making efforts to find means to provide assistance to the Syrians.

 “, Moscow has  delivered many basic commodities to Syria with the participation of governmental and private sectors in this work, “saying that Russia is looking at other options to help Syria”, he added.
