UN and international officials visit Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Officials from United Nations agencies, international human rights organizations and a number of diplomats visited Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the east of occupied Jerusalem in support of its people in the face of the forced displacement campaign waged by the Israeli occupation against them.

The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that the residents of the neighborhood briefed the delegation on the suffering of the families whose homes the occupation threatens to vacate for the benefit of the settlers, especially the Salem family, who are at risk of forced displacement at the end of this month.

Gwen Lewis, Director of UNRWA Affairs in the West Bank, said: “I am here from UNRWA with a number of international organizations to show our support and support for the Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah. These families are facing the threat of forced eviction from their homes by an Israeli order.”
