Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo hosts  Spanish pilgrims

As part of an initiative to revive the pilgrimage journey from Andalusia to Mecca, a caravan of Spanish pilgrims participating in the journey arrived at the Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo.

The pilgrims performed the Dhuhr prayer in a symbolic stop that recalls the historic scene of pilgrims on their way to Mecca.

The caravan is scheduled to continue its journey through the remaining Syrian governorates, eventually reaching Saudi Arabia.
