Dubai (ST): An Emirati delegation headed by Minister of Education Hussain Al Hammadi visited the Syria pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, toured its sections and reviewed the various artistic and cultural exhibits in it, from the first alphabet to the room designated to listen to the oldest musical note in history.
The visiting delegation expressed great admiration for the collective art exhibition hosted by the pavilion under the title “I am Syrian”, where each painting displayed represents an aspect of life from Syria.
Al-Hammadi said in a statement: “I was pleased to visit the Syrian pavilion and learn about the oldest civilizations through the existing exhibits, as it contains a huge content of the greatness of Syrian history and the new vision to achieve a better future for the Syrian state,” referring to the good organization and modern display tools inside the pavilion, which turned the Syrian pavilion into the Mecca of visitors in Expo Dubai 2020.
In turn, the Commissioner-General of the pavilion and the Syrian ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, stressed in a similar statement during the tour with the Emirati delegation that the Syrian participation in Expo Dubai 2020 represents a great opportunity to exchange cultures and achieve intellectual and scientific communication among the countries of the world.
The visit of the Emirati delegation comes within the framework of great international interest in the Syrian participation in the exhibition. Since its inception, the Syrian pavilion has been visited by delegations and representatives from many countries and organizations participating or visiting the exhibition.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian pavilion’s work team, besides introducing Syrian culture and arts, and in cooperation with the pavilion’s commercial partners from major Syrian companies in various sectors, organizes periodic business meetings with Arab and international delegations with the aim of developing trade and economic relations with global partners.
In this context, a delegation from the Lebanese pavilion headed by Muhammad Abu Haidar, commissioner-general of the pavilion and director general of the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade, visited the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, in the presence of a number of Syrian and Lebanese businessmen.
The delegation toured the Syrian pavilion and reviewed its contents and visited the Commercial Partners Section, which hosts a group of Syrian companies, and was briefed on the economic and commercial opportunities offered by these companies, as the Lebanese official expressed his admiration for the displayed Syrian art pieces.
