UAE: Israeli Attacks on Syria Threaten Increased Tension in the Region

The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the repeated Israeli attacks targeting Syrian territory, reaffirming its commitment to Syria’s unity, stability, and territorial integrity. It emphasized that these practices threaten to escalate tensions further in the region.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement reported by the official WAM news agency that the Israeli airstrikes constitute an aggression against Syria’s sovereignty and a violation of international laws, particularly the disengagement agreement between Israel and Syria signed by both parties in 1974.

The ministry also reiterated the UAE’s firm rejection of these practices, which threaten to escalate tensions in the region and hinder international efforts to achieve peace and stability.
