UAE condemns the occupation’s settlement expansion plans in West Bank

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The UAE strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s decision to return settlers to 4 settlements in the northern West Bank, which it evacuated in 2005, and its plan to establish 1,029 settlements in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and separate areas in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement carried by the Wafa Agency, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s rejection of all practices that contravene international legitimacy resolutions and threaten further escalation and instability in the region.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the need to support all regional and international efforts to achieve a settlement of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

The Ministry also stressed the need to put an end to illegal practices that threaten the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the line of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds as its capital.
