U-16 national soccer team to hold a training camp

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The U-16 national soccer team are due to enter an –indoor training camp at the Tishreen sports complex in Damascus.

The camp is part of the team’s preparation for taking part in the AFC Cup finals which will be staged in Thailand in next May.

The Football Federation has invited the following players to join the training camp: AnasAji; Ahmad Rajab; Mahmoud Kibabi; Abdul had iShalha; Ahmad Khusi; Hadi Burghul; Waseem Nadaf; Mohammad Halak; Mohammad Abdulla; Mohammad qadour; Mohammad Zeid Ghreir; Mohammad Jadou’; Tarek Ghreir;Omar Khadija;Gheith Suleiman;Kamel Humeisha;Na’eem Ghazal;Mohammad Khouja;Bassel Kawakbi; Hasan Damen; Jamal Abdull; Omar Lahlah; Ahmad Awad;Mohammad Mousa; Mohammad Loulo, Abdul Rahman Barakat and William Ghanam.

It is to be noted that the national team have booked their place in the Asian finals after they named as the best team who came second in the ten group in the qualifiers which was staged in Jordan in last September.

They drew with their Jordanian counterparts 4-4, beat Afghanistan 3-0 and were held to a goalless draw with Saudi Arabia.
