The head of humanitarian affairs at the United Nations Martin Griffiths stressed on Tuesday the need of entering the fuel to Gaza Strip as quickly as possible. “The aid delivered to Gaza so far is barely making an impact,” Griffiths previously had twitted, adding “We need more now.”
“We need aid to go to civilians wherever they are,” he stressed.
For her part, the Humanitarian Coordinator in Palestine, Lynn Hasting, said in her speech before the Security Council: “Fuel is important for delivering aid to all areas of Gaza.”
