Two Syrian Industrialists Innovate Paste Flooring Saving Effort, Cost and Time

In order to save effort and reduce the cost while undertaking floor restoration operations, industrialists Abdul Rahman and Mahmoud Makled developed a “tile paste” for flooring which, according to them, is made up of  locally produced materials.

As for the use of this paste, they explained that the completion of work using this paste does not take long as it extends over the old tile without being broken. ” It is characterized by durability, speed of execution and beautiful design while saving effort and money. It also has the features of” negative and positive “insulation, as it isolates the moisture inside the walls which cannot be treated and repairs the surface that leaks water as well.

Talking about the features of the paste which is a mixture of 2-kilogram processed cement with 1 kilogram latex liquid mixed in the workplace, they clarified that the paste is lightweight, heat and moisture insulator, quick to apply and dry, extremely soft, does not require watering, solid and resistant to scratching and friction, non-flammable, in addition to the fact that its drawings, colors and shapes can be easily controlled and implemented according to the customer’s desire.

They pointed out that the paste had achieved the required results after testing within a very short time. Using this paste, which is a powerful alternative to imported epoxy, we just need 48 hours to get a 100 square meter house tiled with a cost of between 20 and 40,000 Syrian pounds per square meter compared to epoxy, which costs from 150 to 350 thousand Syrian pounds per square meter.

This product, which is an alternative to marble, ceramics and tiles, won the World Intellectual Property Organization gold medal “WIPO” at the Al-Basil Creativity and Invention Exhibition 2017.
