Nour Ihsan Al-Mouselli and Wisam Abdul Wahab Al-Sayyah are two Syrian female writers who have recently achieved advanced positions in the 25th edition of the Sharjah Prize for Arab Creativity event dedicated for the literary works that have not been published yet.
The event was organized by the Sharjah Directorate of Culture in the United Arab Emirates.
The story writer Nour Al-Mouselli ranked first through her story collection “Muthaf Al-Nisaa” (Women’s Museum), leaving the second and third places for two writers from Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
On her part, the novelist Wisam Al-Sayyah came second through her novel “Ala Bou’d Shahqa” (A Breath Away), while the first and third places went for two writers from Egypt and Sudan.
Meanwhile the jury of the poetry competition hailed two poetry collections by Syrian poets Mohammad Zeyad Shoudeb and Mu’az Jamal Rajab.
As for theater, the jury also hailed a Syrian theatrical work by playwright Hevin Hanif Ahmad.
