Two solidarity stands in the cities of Al-Bireh and Tulkarm in support of the prisoners in the occupation detention centers

Dozens of Palestinians called on the international community to intervene urgently in support of the prisoners in the Israeli occupation detention centers, stop the occupation’s continuous crimes against them, especially the sick, and to release them.
The call came during two solidarity vigils in the cities of Al-Bireh and Tulkarem in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Wafa News Agency said that the participants in the two vigils, organized by the Palestinian national forces, and the families of the prisoners, raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of the prisoners, stressing that the occupation forces continue their violations against the prisoners through beating, abuse, psychological and physical torture, solitary confinement and deliberate medical neglect, in a failed attempt to break the prisoners’ will and steadfastness.  The participants considered these violations  as organized terrorism and crimes against humanity.
The participants stressed that the prisoners in the occupation detention centers suffer from inhuman conditions of detention, as a result of the continuation of these practices against them in violation of all international conventions, especially the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Ibrahim Al-Nimr, the director of the Prisoners’ Club office in Tulkarem, warned of the deterioration of the health condition of sick prisoners who became martyrs with a suspended sentence, after they sacrificed their lives for the Palestinian cause, which requires that human rights institutions make efforts and intensify pressure to rescue the Palestinian prisoners immediately and hold the Israeli occupation responsible for its crimes.
