The Turkish authorities announced that two policemen were injured following an explosion that occurred today in front of the Interior Ministry building in the Kizilay district in the center of the capital, Ankara.
Anatolia News Agency quoted the Turkish regime’s Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, as saying in a statement: “Two police officers were slightly injured when two gunmen detonated an explosive device in front of the General Directorate of Security in Ankara. One of them blew himself up inside a car and the other was neutralized.”
Following the explosion, firefighters and medical teams arrived at the site, and police forces quickly headed to the area and took extensive security measures.
