Two persons martyred, 9 others injured

Daraa – Two persons were martyred and 9 others, among them 6 women, were injured in armed groups’ rocket shells attack on several areas in the city of Daraa in a new violation of the Russian de-escalation zone memorandum in Syria.

A person was martyred and three others, among them a woman, were injured, one of them in critical situation, in armed groups’ rocket shell fired on the entrance of al-Sharq private Hospital in al-Kashef neighborhood, SANA reported.

 Earlier today, the source added that the armed groups positioned in the towns of al-Yadoudeh and al-Mzairib in the western countryside of Daraa on Thursday fired rocket shells on the citizens’ houses in al-Dahiya area in Daraa, killing one person and injuring 6 others, among them 5 women.

The attack also caused material damage to some houses, according to the source.

In the same context, the armed groups positioned in al-Nu’aimeh town, 4 km east of Daraa city fired rocket shells on al-Nu’aimeh power transmission plant.

A source at Daraa Electricity Company said that the terrorist attack targeted the 66 kvolt and the 20kvolt lines which feed the city, causing power outages.

The armed groups repeatedly violate the de-escalation zone memorandum, which was signed on May 4, by firing rocket shells on the residential gatherings and infrastructure in Daraa and in the countryside of Damascus and Homs, killing a number of people and causing material damage.
