Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Two Palestinian prisoners are continuing their open hunger strike in protest against the ongoing Israeli occupation crimes against them.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said in a statement reported by Wafa News Agency on Wednesday that, prisoner Imad Sawarka, 37, from Jericho, who is on hunger strike for the 49th day in a row, is in a difficult health situation. Prisoner,Alaa Al-Rimawi, 43, from Ramallah, on strike for the fifteenth day, is suffering from severe pain throughout his body and repeated episodes of loss of consciousness.
The club called on international human rights institutions to intervene urgently to save the lives of the prisoners and to release them.
About 4,500 Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, among them about 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
