Two new investment projects with a capital of SYP 4 billion in Tartous

The number of new industrial and craft facilities  that started production  during the first quarter of this year in Tartous reached 42 , with a capital of about SYP 1.5 billion  and provided  about 125 job opportunities.

Director of Tartous Industry Eng. Ammar Ali  said  in a statement to SANA that two industrial facilities specialized in textile and food industries  started work  in accordance with Investment Law No. 18 during the first quarter of this year in the governorate, with a capital of SYP  4 billion  which provided 429 job opportunities.

He added that  the number of industrial facilities put into service according to the law during the aforementioned period in the governorate reached 18 with a capital of  SYP 779 million, which provided 68 job opportunities, while the number of working  craft facilities  reached 24 with a capital exceeding  SYP 715 million , which secured 57 opportunities, most of which are distributed in the engineering and food sectors. .

It is noteworthy that the number of industrial and craft facilities in service during the past year in the governorate reached 152, with a capital exceeding  SYP 5.7 billion  which provided 505 job opportunities.

For his part, Director General of the Syrian Investment Agency Madian Diab said that the agency has prepared an investment map for the Syrian coast in a number of fields and sectors, especially the trade and tourism sectors such as hotels and tourist resorts.

He pointed out that  the agency  worked through this investment map of the coast to distribute opportunities in a manner commensurate with the geographical area of ​​the Tartous province  and the characteristic of the marine environment  including mountain, plain and sea.
