Two moderate earthquakes hit west and northwest of Homs

Two moderate earthquakes this evening hit areas to in the west and northwest of the Syrian city of Homs.

The National Earthquake Center said that a 4.3 magnitude earthquake, with a depth of 10 km, was registered near the Syrian-Lebanese border, 30 km to the northwest of Homs. Citizens in Homs, Hama, Tartous, and Lattakia felt the earthquake.

About an hour later, another 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit an area near the Syrian-Lebanese borders, 39 km west of Homs.
