Two members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces killed in Diyala

Baghdad (ST): Two members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces were killed today as a result of a terrorist attack by ISIS in Diyala Governorate, eastern Iraq.

The Popular Mobilization Information Department said in a statement:  “A force from the 62nd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization managed last night to thwart a plot by ISIS terrorists in the Sherwin area, northeast of Diyala Governorate, which led to the killing of two members of the force while responding to the attack.

Yesterday, the Iraqi forces launched a security operation to search villages and orchards in areas belonging to Diyala Governorate.
