Cairo, (ST) – The Suez Canal Authority announced that its marine rescue tugboats succeeded in dealing with navigational emergencies and technical malfunctions that two tankers were exposed to during their crossing of the canal within the northern convoy in the early hours of this morning.
The Head of the authority, General Osama Rabie, indicated that the authority’s locomotives succeeded in pulling the gas tanker out of the navigational stream, while work is underway to withdraw the oil tanker as well. He stressed the return of regular navigation in the canal from both directions in the coming hours.
