Twin Hassaka Blasts Kill Seven Civilians

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least seven civilians have been martyred and 28 others wounded by terrorist attacks in the provinces of Hassaka, Damascus,  Damascus countryside and Hama, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that terrorists exploded two car bombs in Ra’as al-Ein city and Tal Hlaf town in Hassaka province, killing 7civilians and wounding several others.

A Police Command source made it clear that the terrorists exploded the first car bomb after parking it near the ‘Osama Bin Zied’ School at the entry of Ra’as al-Ein city where two civilians were martyred and several others wounded.

“The first explosion coincided with another car bomb blast in al-Khamis market [Thursday market] in Tal Hlaf town,” the source said, adding that the second explosion killed 5 civilians and wounded several others.

Some 5 children wounded by mortar attacks

Five other civilians, including two children aged 4 and 5, were wounded and several cars were damaged by mortar attacks on al-Amara, al-Qazzazin and al-Saleheyeh quarters in the capital [Damascus].

Another mortar attack ripped through Jaramana city in Damascus countryside as 16 shells landed in several quarters in the city, wounding some 22 civilians.

“Three children plus eight women were among those wounded by the mortar attack,” a source at police command said, noting that several cars and houses were extensively damaged.

Explosive device detonated in Hama

Moreover, Hama city witnessed a terrorist attack when two explosive devices, put by terrorists inside a trash container in ‘Abi al-Feda’a Street, were detonated.

A woman was wounded by the detonation which also caused damages to two cars passing by.
