Turkish regime should put an end to the crimes of its mercenaries in Syria: Russian Defense Ministry

The Russian Ministry of Defense has called on the Turkish regime to put an end to the criminal acts of the Turkish-affiliated terrorist groups in the regions under their control.

In a statement made on Friday by Head of the Russian Coordination Center at Hmeimim base, Rear Admiral Alexander Sherbitsky, the ministry said that repeated infighting was observed among different Turkish-backed terrorist groups that caused the death  of many civilians, pointing out that these clashes put the lives of thousands of Syrian civilians at risk.

The Turkish- backed terrorists steal citizens’ properties as well as the equipment in vital facilities that supply citizens with water and electricity, the statement added, urging the Turkish regime to bring the criminal activities of these terror groups to an end.

The areas occupied by the Turkish regime forces and their affiliated mercenary terrorist groups in the countryside of Hasaka, Raqqa and Aleppo have been witnessing continuous infighting among the terror groups, causing casualties among civilians and material damage to public and private properties. These areas have also witnessed looting crimes by the Turkish regime mercenaries targeting the houses and properties of citizens.
