Turkish regime arrests 97 people

The Turkish regime authorities issued arrest warrants for 158 people, including military personnel, under the pretext of their involvement in the attempted coup in  2016 against Erdogan.

Reuters quoted authorities as saying that arrest warrants were issued against 110 military students, who were fired after the attempted coup, in addition to 48 ex-military or on duty personnel and 97 people who  were arrested during a campaign of raids that included 41 areas.

It is noteworthy that the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched severe repression campaigns since the coup attempt in July 2016, in order to pursue its opponents inside the country, where it arrested and dismissed tens of thousands of people, both civilians and military.
