Turkish politicians, journalists and academics: We reject Erdogan’s policy in Syria and demand the withdrawal of Turkish forces from it

Ankara, (ST) – In Turkey, demands from many political, media, academic, and legal figures of the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan,  to stop his attacks on Syrian territories and withdraw his forces from them immediately.
During an electronic campaign to collect signatures, 543 Turkish politicians, journalists, academics artists, lawyers and trade unions demanded Erdogan to withdraw his forces from Syria immediately, affirming their rejection to Erdogan’s policies in Syria in general and in Idlib particular

Participants in the campaign, who represent all groups of Turkish society, considered that Erdogan’s interference in Idlib was an act that was not appropriate to the reputation of the Turkish state, which turned into an instrument in the hands of the imperialist states and a protector of terrorism.

Campaign supervisors expected that this initiative will continue with Erdogan’s aggressive and provocative policies in Idlib and appealed to all honorable defenders of peace and friendship among peoples to participate in this campaign.

Representatives of a number of parties and personalities in Turkey confirmed yesterday the responsibility of Erdogan for the killing of 33 Turkish soldiers during the operations of the Syrian Arab Army against terrorist organizations in Idlib province. They condemned the campaigns of this regime and its misleading information against Syria and Russia.
