ISTANBUL, (ST) – The Turkish police detained 20 people, including lawyers, in an operation involving raids across Istanbul, targeting opposition figures and activists opposing the Turkish regime’s policies.
The state-run Anadolu Agency said on Wednesday that the raids, backed by helicopter, were carried out simultaneously at 32 spots across the city and those detained included lawyers.
Erdogan’s regime police yesterday morning launched arrest campaigns in several Turkish cities. 70 people including members of the opposition “Democratic People’s Party” were arrested.
The Turkish security forces have been keen on implementing arrest campaigns against opposition figures, lawyers, activists, police officers and journalists who contribute to exposing Erdogan’s crimes, his iron fist on media and judiciary, his corruption and his involvement in supporting terrorism.
