Recently, the Turkish occupation has increased the number of its military bases in the countryside of Raqqa and has set up additional bases, according to the Damascus-based Al-Watan newspaper.
The paper made it clear that after the occupation of Tal Abyad city and a large swath of Ayn Issa town by the Turkish regime’s terrorist mercenaries in October 2019, the terrorist mercenaries started to set up military bases and intensified their movements in the occupied areas and on the international road, which is known as M4, causing the displacement of a huge number of residents.
It added that the number of Turkish military bases in the northern and western sides of Raqqa countryside reached 12.
These bases are being used as launch-pads to carry out attacks on civilians, the latest of which was the rocket attack on Al-Safaweyeh town in the eastern countryside of Ayn Issa where 4 members of the same family were martyred.
Since the beginning of June 2020 and until the 4th of this month, the Turkish occupation had carried out 634 attacks targeting civilians.
