Turkish occupation continues to shell areas in Hasakah and Raqqa countryside

Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue on Saturday to target villages and towns in the countryside of Hasakah and Raqqa.

The occupation forces and the mercenaries fired several artillery shells and mortar rounds on the villages of Al-Zouhairiya and Kharab Rashk in the countryside of Al-Malkiyya city in the north of Hasakah, according to local sources.

One of the shells targeted the vicinity of Simalka crossing, causing damage to the houses and property, the sources told a SANA reporter.

Moreover, local sources in Raqqa countryside said that the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries shelled Al-Houshan village in Tal Abyad countryside, north of Raqqa. The shelling also targeted the vicinity of the M4 highway, causing material damage, the sources added.

Over the past days, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries intensified their attacks on the countryside of Aleppo, Raqqa and Hasakah, killing scores of civilians and destroying houses and vital facilities, most recent of which was Al-Swaidiyeh gas plant in Al-Malkiya city in Hasakah which lead Al-Swaidiyeh electric power generation station to go out of service.
