Turkish Minister of Transport: There is a project to provide Syria with an entire internet infrastructure

Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has revealed that there is a project to provide Syria with an entire internet infrastructure from Turkey.

“Turkey is ready to transfer its administrative and institutional expertise to Syria, especially in the fields of communications and transport”, Uraloğlu.

He pointed out that Syria has expressed its desire to benefit from the services of the Turkish satellite “Türksat,” and there are proposals to operate one of the Syrian ports through a Turkish investor.

He also said that Turkey has significantly contributed to the rehabilitation of Damascus International Airport, and Turkish experts will continue to provide technical and logistical support to Syria, in addition to restoring railways and supplying or maintaining aircraft.

He noted that the Syrian Minister of Communications will visit Turkey soon to continue consultations regarding the infrastructure.
