The injured people, who were taken to Afrin hospital, suffered breathing difficulty and burning.

Director of Afrin Hospital Dr. Jwan Mohammad said in a statement to  SANA that six civilians from al-Mzeina locals were hospitalized and received necessary medical treatment as they were suffering breathing difficulty, coughing and burning in different parts of their bodies as a result of a Turkish attack with shells containing poisonous gas.

Symptoms indicate that they were exposed to a chemical attack, he said.

Dr. Mohammad added that four of the men are now in a stable condition while the other two are in a serious condition, noting that work is underway to identify the kind of gas the injured have inhaled.
