Turkish authorities arrest 9 people on the pretext of involvement in the coup attempt

Ankara,ST- Turkish authorities have issued arrest warrants for 14 people under the pretext of their association with Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.

The Anatolia news agency quoted the Izmir Prosecutor’s Office as saying: ” The Public Prosecution has issued arrest warrants for 14 people on charges of using the Gulen Baylok mobile application. He added that the police arrested nine wanted in the provinces of Izmir, Aydin and Konya while the search for the other five is still underway.

The Turkish authorities issued yesterday arrest warrants for 112 people, 81 of them on the pretext of association with the preacher Gulen.

Since the coup attempt, the Erdogan regime has waged a massive crackdown on its opponents, arresting and removing tens of thousands of people in various civilian and military institutions in the country.
