Turkey’s National Security Council: We will continue to support the new Syrian administration’s efforts to attain peace and stability
The Turkish National Security Council today affirmed its continued support for the new administration’s efforts in Syria to ensure peace and stability and cleanse the country of terrorist organizations.
The Anadolu Agency quoted the council as saying in a statement issued after a meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: “We will continue to support the efforts of the new administration in Syria to ensure lasting peace and stability and to cleanse the country of all terrorist organizations.”
The Council noted that provocations aimed at destabilizing Syria are being monitored and followed up, stressing the need to preserve the territorial integrity of Syria and its unified identity, with all its religious and ethnic components.
Regarding the situation in Gaza Strip, the Turkish National Security Council stressed that “Israel must end its persistent policies of genocide and occupation in the Palestinian territories and return to a ceasefire as soon as possible.”
