Turkey’s trade deficit rises in September

On October 31, Turkey’s foreign trade deficit rose 6.6 percent year-on-year in September to 2.056 billion dollars.

Turkey’s exports rose 0.3 percent to $ 14.44 billion and imports reached $ 16.49 billion, up 1 percent from September 2018, Reuters reported.

Turkey is witnessing a significant deterioration of its currency due to the aggressive policies of the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime.

Since the military coup attempt in mid-July 2016, Turkey has witnessed deteriorating political and security situation due to the crackdown practices of the regime which led to economic problems, including a decline in tourism, investments and foreign investors in the Turkish economy.
