Turkey’s Support for Terrorist Groups’ Operations in Kasab Dangerous Escalation: Al-Jaafari

NEW YORK, (ST)-The Turkish Army is covering the armed terrorist groups’ operations in Kasab of Lattakia countryside and Israel also is allowing terrorists to move freely in the disengagement area in the Syrian Golan to commit crimes against Syrian civilians and army forces, Syria’s Permanente Representative at the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari has stressed.

In a press conference at the UN headquarters, al-Jaafari said that during the past few days he warned the UN Chief as well as President and members of the Security Council by sending seven official letters of the very dangerous violations committed by Turkey in northern Syria and by Israel in the disengagement area in the Syrian Golan.

Al-Jaafari affirmed that the Turkish army’s direct and open participation in the armed operations in Kasab was a blatant violation of the sovereignty of a UN member state and indicated a clear collusion and alliance between Israel, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Replying a question on the danger of the armed groups’ terrorist operations in Lattakia countryside on the transfer of the Syrian chemical materials via Lattakia, al-Jaafari said he contacted senior UN officials on this issue to draw their attention to the danger of possible attacks by terrorist groups against chemical materials convoys heading towards Lattakia and to the danger of using the chemicals by terrorists to commit new crimes and then blame the Syrian government of them.
