CAIRO, (ST)- Member of the Egyptian Parliament Ghada al-Ajami has reaffirmed that US President Donald Trump’s declaration on occupied Syrian Golan is unacceptable and that Golan is a Syrian land.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo, Ajami said that Golan is a Syrian Arab land under occupation. She urged the international community to respect international legitimacy resolutions and not to allow capturing others’ lands by force.
“Syria and Egypt enjoy brotherly ties. We have common history that stresses the deep-rooted relations which resulted in unity between the two countries, thus we reject any interference in the Syrian affairs.
Regarding the Turkish regime’s role in supporting terrorism and its blatant interference in Syria’s affairs, Ajami said that this interference is absolutely rejected, pointing out that it has been proved that Ankara is supporting terrorists in Syria, a matter that puts Turkey on the list of the countries supporting terrorism.
In Beirut, the Lebanese Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Hassan Murad reaffirmed his condemnation of Trump’s Golan declaration, stressing that Golan is an occupied Syrian Arab land.
“We won’t cede an inch of an occupied Arab land as long as we are alive,” Murad said in a statement on Sunday, reiterating the need to confront the Israeli intransigence and to foil all the Zionist attempts to undermine the Palestinian cause.
He added that Sheb’a Farms is an occupied Lebanese land just like the occupied Syrian Golan.
