Tunisian President orders sending urgent aid to Syria

Tunisia, (ST) – Tunisian President Kais Saeed expressed his condolences and sympathy to the Syrian people and the families of the victims and those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria yesterday.

According to a statement issued by the Tunisian presidency, Saeed affirmed his full solidarity with the Syrian government and people. He expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to supporting the efforts exerted within these difficult circumstances in order to overcome the repercussions of this human tragedy.

The statement indicated that the Tunisian president had ordered urgent aid to be sent to Syria, provided that military planes would transport this aid to the country.
