Tunisian President orders initiating procedures for appointing new ambassador in Damascus

President Kais Saied of Tunisia on Monday instructed the country’s foreign affair minister Nabil Ammar to initiate procedures that would appoint a new ambassador to Syria, according to the Tunisian presidency.

During his meeting on Mondsy  with minister Ammar, President Saied stressed that Tunisia’s stances abroad are derived from the will of the Tunisian people inside the country.

He reiterated the need to abide by the principles of the foreign policy of the Tunisian diplomacy, including the independence of national decision and the non engegement in any axis.
