Tunisian President Kais Saied affirmed his rejection of foreign interference in the country’s affairs.
During his meeting with the official in charge of running the Ministry of Interior, Reda Gharslawi, Tunisia Africa Agency quoted Saied as saying that his country will not accept being “under the tutelage of anyone.” He criticized the request of some people from external parties to intervene in Tunisian affairs, promising that the new government will be formed in the country very soon.
Saied pointed out that he called on Paris not to interfere in his country’s affairs.
The Tunisian president met last night with Najla Bouden Ramadan, who is in charge of forming the new government, and was briefed by her on the progress of the process, according to a statement published by the presidency.
