Tunisia: Extending the state of emergency until the end of this year

Tunis (ST): Tunisian President Kais Saied extended the state of emergency in the country until December 31 to ensure security in the country.

Tunisian media reported that President Said issued a presidential order to extend the state of emergency in the country until the end of this year.

Tunisia has been under a state of emergency since 2015, following a terrorist attack that killed members of the Tunisian presidential guard.

On the 30th of last month, President Saied announced the extension of the state of emergency in the country for a period of one month, starting from the first of next month until the 31st of it.
