Trump Plans to Ease Sanctions on Syria for a Fresh Start

President Donald Trump announced that the United States intends to ease sanctions imposed on Syria to facilitate a new beginning for the country. “We will need to decide which sanctions we might ease or lift altogether because we want to give Syria a fresh start,” Trump stated before departing for the Middle East, according to CNN. “The current application of sanctions on Syria does not allow for a genuine opportunity for renewal, and we want to see how we can assist,” Trump added.
