Trump impeachment heading for the Senate

The Republican Majority Leader in the US Senate Mitch McConnell announced that the Senate received an impeachment decision against President Donald Trump, in preparation for his trial and for removing him from his office.

In Wednesday’s vote, the US House of Representatives had approved refering the impeachment decision against Trump to the Senate in preparation for the start of this trial.
