Truce in Aleppo, Lattakia Countryside Extended for 48 Hours: Army General Command

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The General Command of the Army and Armed forces on Monday announced that the truce in Aleppo and its countryside plus Lattakia countryside will be extended for 48 hours.

According to a statement by the army command, the truce in both Syrian provinces is to be extended as of 1.00 a.m. on Tuesday until 24 p.m. Wednesday.

 The truce, which doesn’t involve “Deash” and “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist organizations and blacklisted terrorist groups, was announced in Aleppo on May 7th  for 72 hours.

The terrorist organizations breached Aleppo truce several times over the past days by firing rockets against private and public civil facilities and houses. Scores of civilians were martyred and wounded in the attacks which also caused heavy material damage to properties.
