Aleppo – Interior Minister Ali Hammoud stressed the need to rehabilitate Aleppo International Airport to repair the damage caused to it by terrorists and restoring operations in it immediately.
During an inspection tour of transport departments and establishments in Aleppo on Tuesday, as part of the visit of a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, Hammoud stressed the need to reactivate transport establishments in Aleppo, as they are one the most important sources of income for the state treasury, SANA reported.
In turn, Director of Aleppo International Airport Bassem Mansour said that most of the airport’s halls along with the Syrian Airlines office, the Immigrations and Passports branch, and the runway are ready for resuming operations, and that work is underway to repair other facilities.
