Tourism Minister, South African Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Minister of Tourism, Bisher Yazigi discussed with South African ambassador to Syria Shon Benfeldet cooperation between Syria and South Africa.

Yazigi stressed the importance to benefit from the South Africa expertise in tourism planning, and reactivating the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in 2006.

He pointed out to the positive stances of South Africa toward the ongoing crisis in Syria, stressing that priority for contributing in reconstruction and building in Syria will be given to the companies of South Africa.

For his part, ambassador Benfeldet stressed his country wellness to develop economic relations with Syria especially tourism sector, noting that Syria is an attractive country to tourists due to  it rich culture, history and heritage.
